THIS ISSUE AFFECTS BOTH PUBLIC AND PRIVATE THUNKABLE ACCOUNTS.
We recently identified that when you share your Thunkable project, it will automatically clear out any app settings, including Firebase, Stripe keys and URLS.
To resolve this, students using Thunkable should copy their credentials somewhere in their code.
For a video of the steps below, see below:
1. Create a new screen
- Title as “API Credentials”
2. Click on “Blocks”
- Add a [Text] block and type in the name of one of your credentials
3. Right click the block and click [Add Comment]
- Copy the necessary information into the comments
4. Repeat as necessary
Please do this after you have completed your code, and are ready to submit!
To view more about how to submit your source code, including further Thunkable instructions, please see our other FAQ article.
