Can I skip a submission?

If you cannot judge a submission for one of the reasons listed below, you can remove it from your profile by recusing it.

Reasons for recusal:
1. The submission is not in English and you cannot review it
2. You know the team or mentor

We recommend you only use this feature if you truly cannot score the submission.

Please try your best to score the teams based on your understanding of the materials they have submitted, even if you cannot view the source code. In this case, do not skip the submission, but rather use the other submission materials to give a fair score and constructive feedback to the team for future improvements. To remove the submission from your account, scroll to the bottom of the scoring screen as shown in the image below.

Reminder: Technovation is, above all else, a learning experience. We have the goal of every team receiving judge feedback to help them continue their learning journey. We appreciate all judges who take the time to give the best feedback possible, no matter what materials they can access.

Please note, if you do not complete a score for a team, it will impact their ability to be scored by other judges and may harm their ability to advance through the competition.
