Rules for Judges

Eligibility

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Complete our self-paced online training found on your judge account
• Commit to reviewing a minimum of 5 submissions - this is for online judges only. If you are judging at a Regional Pitch Event (RPE), requirements will differ. Please contact your local Chapter for more information on judging at an RPE.
• In order to maintain fairness in the judging process, Chapter, Club, and Moonshot Ambassadors are ineligible to be judges. 

Judging/Submission

• Technovation monitors all judge feedback and scores. The following behavior is not tolerated and will result in a judge’s suspension:
• Assessing low or high scores to teams without evidence from the rubric - all judging decisions must be made based on the rubric guidelines
• Scoring submissions very quickly - we ask you to take time to consider the team’s learning journey
• Failing to leave helpful feedback on each submission - our participants use your feedback to continue learning
• Using the recusal function to score certain teams
• Any other malicious act that results in unfair feedback or scores
