Artificial intelligence (AI) tools are quickly evolving and already changing the world around us. Many AI tools, like ChatGPT, are available online and can help people write content, design graphics, draw images, and more. Participants are not required to use ChatGPT; it's another tool that could be helpful.
Technovation understands there is a wide range in how or if participants will choose to use AI tools in their projects. We are continuing to develop recommendations around the ethical use of AI tools in the curriculum (ethics lesson) and other supplementary resources like this 1 pager to help participants and volunteers.
Technovation judging rubrics prioritize 21st-century, transferrable skills. Judges will score according to our rubrics. Teams are asked how they used AI tools like ChatGPT in a separate question that will not impact judge scores. They can also write about it in their Learning Journey.
