What information is gathered for the mentor background check?

To register as a mentor in the USA, we ask that volunteers comply with a background check. This is to ensure the safety of our young participants. We use Checkr.io to run a Name/DOB/SSN verification in addition to a county and nation criminal search. All mentors who have consented to background checks can request copies and check their status at checkr.io by clicking “My background check.” 

Technovation Girls also reserves the right to complete randomized background checks on mentors outside of the USA.
