Curiosity Machine has many design challenges in diverse content areas. Curiosity Machine can be used to support engineering, physical science, biology curriculum and more!
On Curiosity Machine, we have both free and membership-only design challenges.
Free Design Challenges
Free design challenges are completely accessible to all users. These design challenges are examples that show how Curiosity Machine can support a student's learning.
Educators can access all scientific videos, teacher resources, and extension activities. Students can fully engage with the engineering design process by exploring the resources, submitting their plans and prototypes, and finally reflecting and sharing their ideas with the the rest of the Curiosity Machine community.
Membership-Only Design Challenges
Membership-Only design challenges are partially available to all Curiosity Machine users and fully available to membership users if the design challenge is within their membership scope.
All Curiosity Machine users can access the design challenge landing page, which contains a scientific video, the student inspiration gallery, the difficulty level, and the materials Curiosity Machine recommends to begin building.
As part of a membership, a user will be able to access the design challenge's instructional video and suggested instructions. Student users within the membership will be able to submit pictures, videos and text of their work, as well as choose a picture to feature in the design challenge's inspiration gallery.
