With your student account, you can post pictures, videos, and text of your project as you work through the steps of the engineering design process.
Where to Post
First, you need to decide which stage of the engineering design process to post in. Your options are Plan, Build-Test-Redesign, and Reflect.
Once you're ready to post, each part of the engineering design process has a box where you can add text or a photo/video. Then, you can post your progress by clicking Submit.
Below, you can the plan page submission box.
Take a Photo and Post
If you have a computer, tablet, or phone with a camera, you can use Curiosity Machine to take a photo or video and post it to your project.
Clicking the Choose button with the camera icon will open a new window with an option to Take Picture. Use the Capture button to take your photo. Preview and crop or rotate the photo, then click Save:
Now you're ready to click Submit and post your photo! If you want to add text to your post, you can add it in the text box.
Take a Video and Post
Uploading a video is great for when you want to show your design in action or show yourself talking about your project. Click the Choose button to open a new window with an option to Record Video:
Use the Record Video button to take your video, and click Stop when you're finished. The video will upload and you'll see a preview in the Post your plan! box.
Now you're ready to click Submit and post your video! If you want to add text to your post, you can add it in the text box.
If you refresh or reload the browser before clicking Submit, you will lose your video. Make sure to click Submit!
Post an Existing Photo/Video
If you already have a photo or video on your device, you can select My Computer and choose the file to upload:
Troubleshooting
Check whether your camera and microphone are enabled in your browser. This often is a pop-up and you can click Allow:
